Bio

Anthony Rapp, born on October 26, 1971 in Joliet Illinois, has been acting since a young age. He received his first professional job when he was just ten years old and played his first film role when he was 16. Anthony has two older siblings: Anne and Adam, who is a writer, and a little sister (who is really his cousin, but was raised by Anthony's mother) Rachel. Anthony attended Interlochen Arts Camp, where he studied acting for 2 years. He continues to teach master classes there. He also attended NYU for a short while, but left before graduating. Anthony is definitely most known for his role as Mark Chohen in RENT. Being in the NYTW cast, the original Broadway cast, the movie, and then his brief return to the Broadway cast in 2007 and joining the tour for 2009, RENT has probably been more a part of Anthony's life than any other cast member. Anthony also heads a band called Albino Kid and has three cats: Emma, Sebastian, and Spike.
